Scotland Hebrides
“Harris & Lewis and Skye”
During my recent visit to Harris and Lewis, I encountered a wide range of weather conditions, reminiscent of those found in Iceland. The weather ranges from horizontal rain and strong winds to very strong winds, sleet showers, occasional snow showers, and some sunny intervals.
All in all, the days I spent on these Hebridean islands were amongst the most interesting places I've been to, ranging from ancient stone circles predating Stonehenge to monstrous waves, crashing onto the west coast, the Atlantic coast of the island, some amazing beaches, the likes of which I haven't seen outside of Lofoten in northern Norway.
All in all, I'm hoping I came away with some meaningful images from this trip, and I would love to go back one day.
On a personal level, I was saddened that I couldn't take my dog with me, either my new puppy, Wally, or my old puppy, Ozzy, whom I had previously had. Hey, Ho, these things happen, but I would really like to spend my time on these beautiful islands with either of those two.
