Scotland Hebrides

“Harris & Lewis and Skye”

On my recent visit to Harris and Lewis, I was confronted with all sorts the weather a little bit like Iceland. Weather range from horizontal rain strong winds, very strong winds through to sleet showers the occasional snow shower, and some sunny bits.

All in all the days I spent on these, Hebridian islands were amongst the most interesting places I've been to ranging from ancient stone circles predating Stonehenge to monstrous waves, crashing onto the west coast, the Atlantic coast of the island some amazing beaches the likes of which I haven't seen outside of Lofoten in northern Norway.

All in all, I'm hoping I came away with some meaningful images from this trip and one day would love to go back.

On a personal level, I was saddened that I couldn't take my dog with me my new puppy Wally, or previously would've been my old puppy, Ozzy. Hey Ho, these things happen, but I would really like to spend my time on these beautiful islands with either of those two.

Although I wasn't really part of any workshop at these locations, I did go with the photography online crew who organized accommodation and locations in the timing of the locations. The guys with photography online were excellent. They knew exactly when to be at locations what the weather was going to be, and how to get the best from the place that we went to. This is all local knowledge that you simply can't replace by turning up somewhere, doing a little bit of research on the Internet, and expecting to get it right. They know these places inside out and just get it right for you and a big thanks to Nic, Harry, and Marcus for this.
