Svalbard

In 2019 I was lucky enough to go to Svalbard with my son and a couple of friends. We joined a ship that sailed around the archipelago and being well inside the Arctic Circle this far north and in the northern part of the island where only 600 miles from the North Pole itself.

This was an absolutely amazing place to visit and it highlights just how fragile the planet is that we're on and also it brings into stark contrast or attitudes toward looking after the planet because this is a delicate infrastructure/environment brutal in its elements but fragile at the same time if that's possible!
